Dwellers in the Valley

First published in 1897, reprinted in 2010 by the British Library. Christmas appeal for the hospital thought to be written by William Scriven, who wrote 2 other similar works for the RHHI, and illustrated by Lancelot Speed and Godfrey Hall. Appeal takes the form of a narrative about several visits to outdoor pensioners of the hospital across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and West Sussex. Includes a number of illustrations of patients and the countryside. Inscribed on an inner page to Mr & Mrs Barnard, 25 Fassett Square, Dalston from Mr Beare.
